Attuned To Six StringsPeter Bodley’s second CD, Attuned to Six Strings, consists of guitar solo, duet and trio compositions. These pieces pay homage to the six string guitar through time, from the physical creation of the instrument to the cultural significance of the music that has entailed. The design of the modern nylon string guitar is attributed to Antonio de Torres’ innovations during the mid-1800’s. Eventually the steel string and electronic guitars evolved and variations exist to satisfy the wide range of music for which the guitar is suited. Peter’s focus is on the roots of guitar music that have been important to him, centered in Europe. Please enjoy the samples.
